In September we got a small camper and began taking short trips to the beach and mountains of our area, just sort of wandering in the state parks. We had forgotten how much we like to hike, to walk just at the water’s edge, to sit at the base of a waterfall and just listen.
This painting was inspired by just such a walk along the marsh on a very grey day. I pushed the grey into a blue and added touches of Naples Yellow and Titan Buff to the 6” x 8” deep wood panel. It started with piece of collage and just grew (or perhaps wandered) onto both sides.
Going For A Wander, 6″ x 8″, mixed media on wood panel, $120
