Getting It Right

It’s day 19. I’ve shown you 15 layers, and I have at least 5 or 6 more that you don’t want to see—again and again and again. Just know I almost never get it right the first time. In fact, if a piece of art is too easy, I think there is something wrong with it.

The one I present today is finished. There are about five or six new layers (note the use of the term “new”). The last three went on fairly quickly. I was working on building more line-like texture, and I wanted to experiment with applying paint with a palette knife. I also added a bit of charcoal pencil because I am drawing again.
