Time to Move On

So I’ve had a lot of “oops” moments in the last few days. This is why I always hesitate sharing the process. I want you to think it springs from me magically. But no, it does not. And sometimes it takes the long road. I’m stuck. There are elements I like on these tiny pieces, and others I don’t. But it’s time to move on and come back later. Another layer—just looking and studying!

Here’s where I am—more layers and redos.

I added a bit of handprinted fabric for texture and interest.
Then I decided there was too much on such small pieces and covered most of it. Don't worry; some of it will come back.

  1. I think this is the magic! The constant evaluation of what is working and what must go. The magic is seeing that and knowing what fits your vision for a piece. I love your work by the way. Can’t wait to look at more. PS I have 2 paintings that are under careful evaluation right now. Not quite sure of their fate right now, but I trust if I give them a little space it’ll come to me.
